7 UX Principles That Make Business Apps Easy to Use
Good UX is not decoration — it is what makes people adopt your product. Seven principles we apply to every app and dashboard we design.
A beautiful interface that confuses users will fail. These seven principles guide every product we design.
1. One main action per screen
Every screen should make its primary action obvious. Secondary options can exist — but they should not compete for attention.
2. Follow familiar patterns
Users already know how navigation, forms and checkouts usually work. Reinventing them adds friction without adding value.
3. Reduce typing
Use smart defaults, pickers, autocomplete and saved details. Every field you remove increases completion rates.
4. Give instant feedback
Buttons should react when tapped, forms should show errors next to the field, and long operations should show progress.
5. Design for real content
Test designs with long names, empty states, missing images and slow connections — not only with perfect sample data.
6. Make it accessible
Sufficient colour contrast, readable font sizes, large touch targets and screen-reader labels help everyone — not only users with disabilities.
7. Prototype before you build
Interactive prototypes let you test the flow with real users before development starts, when changes are still cheap.
